Microsoft, Meta, Alphabet Report Robust Revenue Gains

(MENAFN) Microsoft, Meta, and Alphabet reported robust revenue growth for the July-September quarter, reflecting continued resilience in the U.S. tech sector.

Microsoft’s revenue jumped 18% year-on-year to $77.7 billion, with net profit rising 12% to $22.7 billion. Earnings per share increased from $3.3 to $3.72.

Meta, the parent company of Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, posted a 26% annual revenue increase to $51.2 billion in Q3. However, net profit tumbled 83% to $2.7 billion, and earnings per share fell sharply from $6.03 last year to $1.05. The company said it expects $56 billion to $59 billion in revenue next quarter.

Alphabet, the holding company for Google, saw third-quarter revenue climb 16% year-on-year to $102.3 billion. Its net profit surged 33% to $35 billion, while earnings per share rose from $2.12 to $2.87.

These results highlight a divergence between strong top-line growth and mixed profitability, particularly for social media platforms navigating ad market pressures.
