Trump Reveals Personal Letter from Graham
Graham, 73, wrote the message last October after Trump stated he was "not sure" he would make it to heaven. According to the version shared on Truth Social, Graham began by congratulating Trump on his involvement in the Israel-Hamas ceasefire and the return of Israeli hostages. He described Trump’s leadership as "historic" and called the developments "an answer to much prayer."
He then shifted to spiritual guidance, explaining that no level of "good works, prominence, success" could guarantee entry into heaven, emphasizing that "the only way" is through faith in Jesus Christ.
"It is an important issue to know for certain that your soul is secure and will spend eternity in the presence of God," Graham wrote.
He encouraged Trump to affirm his belief and accept Jesus Christ into his heart, assuring him he would be "heaven bound." Graham also quoted a Bible verse and mentioned that Trump remained in his prayers.
Trump had earlier said he hoped to "try and get to heaven, if possible," suggesting he believed his chances might not be strong.
The letter was written during a relatively calm period following the Oct. 10 ceasefire between Hamas and Israel. Since then, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry, Israeli forces have carried out ongoing violations of the agreement, resulting in at least 691 deaths and 1,876 injuries.
