Israeli Airstrikes Intensify Across Lebanon
The attack followed a warning issued by Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee, urging residents to evacuate several neighborhoods in southern Beirut. The areas affected included "Haret Hreik," "Ghobeiry," "Laylaki," "Haddad," "Borj el-Barajneh," "Tawhidat al-Ghadir," and "Shiyah," a news agency reported.
At this time, there was no confirmation regarding casualties or the extent of property damage.
In a separate incident, Israeli aircraft also targeted the town of Baraachit in the Bint Jbeil district of southern Lebanon, resulting in one fatality and one person injured, according to the news agency.
Since a cross-border attack by Hezbollah on March 2, Israel has intensified its bombardment of Lebanon with airstrikes and has launched a ground offensive in the southern region.
Lebanese officials have stated that the ongoing Israeli operations have claimed 1,142 lives and injured 3,315 others.
